Which One Cleans Better: Saros 20 vs. X60 Ultra

    Hard Floors

Hard floors are where the Saros 20 pulls ahead, and you can see the gap in how much it leaves behind. It picks up fine dust and bigger crumbs alike, and its side brush stretches out to reach along walls and into corners.

During testing, it clear dried spices right up against a wall, though it did skip a couple of pistachio shells in the middle of the floor. The X60 has a similar extending side brush, but finer debris sometimes scattered on its first pass and only got collected on the second. That extra pass costs you time, and it’s the main reason I give hard floors to the Saros 20. (check out: best robot vacuums for hardwood floors)

    Carpets and Pet Hair

Okay, carpet pickup is close to a tie or slight edge to X60 Ultra, since both robots pulled about 89% of embedded sand out of medium-pile carpet. But, the Dreame X60 lifted pet hair from carpet more effectively.

Yes, both use anti-tangle brushes, and both wrapped zero hair around the roller in a seven-inch hair test, so tangling won’t settle this. You should keep one thing in mind for heavy shedders: both onboard dustbins are small, at 260 mL on the Saros and 235 mL on the X60. So, if your pets shed a lot but have good manners, I lean slightly toward the Saros 20. But again, if your pet has accidents, the X60 is the safer choice, and the navigation section below explains why. Which One Mops Better?

You see, on paper, the two mopping systems look alike, since each has two spinning pads, a pad that reaches toward edges, and pads that lift over carpet. The real difference shows up when you look at how hard they scrub.

The X60 presses down with 15 newtons and uses warmed water, and it scored far above average in a dried coffee stain test. The Saros 20 did well in the same kind of test while using less water than average, which helps prevent streaks. So the X60 is the stronger scrubber, and the Saros 20 is the tidier mopper.

Neither one is perfect, though, because both reported faint circular streaks from each on laminate flooring. Now, for carpet protection, both are equally good. The Saros 20 can also sense a wet floor and switch to mop-only mode, so it won’t vacuum up the moisture. You also need to just watch your settings on the X60, since a few wrong choices left wet pads dragging over carpet.

Hence, if your home is mostly hard floor, I’d still choose the Saros 20 for its cleaner overall results and lower water use, but again, if stuck-on stains are your biggest headache, the X60’s extra pressure is worth real consideration. (check best robot vacuum and mop combo)

This is the section where the X60 earns its price tag. In one obstacle course, it avoided 22 of 24 objects, while the Saros 20 avoided 17 and the average robot managed about 16. So, on paper the two look even, since Roborock lists about 300 recognizable object types and Dreame lists about 280. Its two cameras and built-in light help the X60 spot objects as small as 1 cm, even in dim rooms.

Obviously, cables, socks, shoes, and toys are the usual troublemakers, and the Saros 20 has been reported to miss smaller items and occasionally get trapped. I would trust the X60 more in homes where pet accidents or small floor clutter are a regular concern, because its obstacle avoidance was more reliable in testing.

I’d also keep the suction numbers in perspective, because 36,000 Pa versus 35,000 Pa is a gap of under three percent. You won’t feel that difference, but you will feel a robot that chews up a phone cable. So, to be fair, the X60 isn’t trouble-free, since its app feels crowded. Thresholds, Thick Carpets, and Low Furniture

Both robot vacuum cleaners are unusually capable around awkward floor layouts. Roborock rates the Saros 20 for up to 8.8cm across a specific two-stage threshold. Dreame gives the X60 Max Ultra Complete the same 8.8cm two-stage rating.

Okay, those numbers need some context…

Neither robot can simply climb a normal vertical 8.8cm step. That rating applies to specially shaped two-level transitions with individual steps around 4.5cm. Here, single-step testing gives the Saros 20 a small advantage. It has crossed roughly 57mm, while the X60 has managed about 51mm under comparable controlled testing.

Actually, most homes will never push either robot close to those limits. So, for normal doorway strips, thicker rugs, and uneven room transitions, both are among the most capable choices available.

Low furniture is basically a tie as well…

The Saros 20 body measures about 7.98cm tall, while the X60 drops to roughly 7.95cm with its navigation sensor retracted. That gives both a real chance of reaching dust underneath beds and sofas that taller LiDAR robots cannot enter.

    • Threshold winner: Roborock Saros 20 by a small margin.
    • Low-furniture winner: Tie.

    My Final Pick

Between the Roborock Saros 20 vs Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete, I would spend my money on the Roborock Saros 20 for most homes. And the reason is simple. Its biggest strengths are the jobs a robot vacuum performs every day.

It cleans hard floors extremely well, performs strongly on carpets, handles mopping without leaving excessive water, and crosses difficult floor transitions better than almost any normal robot vacuum.

But again, Dreame still makes more sense for one important type of buyer. You know, your floor does not stay perfectly tidy, and you regularly have cables, toys, pet items, or small objects lying around. In that situation, I would choose the X60 Max Ultra Complete because its better obstacle avoidance can prevent far more annoying cleaning failures.

So, Saros 20 wins my overall comparison, while the X60 Max Ultra Complete wins for obstacle-heavy homes.
